ABOUT PERPETUAL CHESS
Perpetual Chess is hosted by me - Ben Johnson - from our global headquarters, AKA my home in Central New Jersey. I launched the Perpetual Chess Podcast in 2016 because I thought chess fans like myself would enjoy hearing conversations about chess while “on the go.: There were tons of great live chess event and training coverage on a growing list of sites, but I wanted more information on the chess personalities playing those events and presenting the material. And while an audio only format is not a great way for studying chess, the popular Adult Improver Series show that podcasts are a great format to share inspiring tales of chess improvement success, as well as actionable study tips, and favorite training tools and chess books.
Nearly 5 years after inception, I am somewhat amazed to report that Perpetual Chess has been downloaded/streamed over 2 million times in over 100 countries! If you’re a first-time visitor then I suggest the 10 episodes below as a starting place. If you’re a long-time listener, and you can afford it, you could consider joining more than 400 other regular listeners whose financial support helps me to keep improving the podcast and expanding the Perpetual Chess offerings. (We recently went from 4 episodes to 5 per month, as in addition to weekly interviews, we now feature a monthly book recap podcast called Chess Books Recaptured.) You can find more info about ways to support the show, and about a few perks you get in return for doing so here.
In any event, thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy listening to the show as much as I enjoy creating it!
