My book, Perpetual Chess Improvement: Practical Chess Advice from World-Class Players and Dedicated Amateurs is now available everywhere, and the reviews have been great! The book has been years in the making, and distills all of the chess improvement advice that has been given by guests of the podcast. It also shares my personal reflections and conclusions about the challenges of trying to get better at chess as a working adult.
Where to get the book: Here in the U.S. it is now available from Chess4Less and Amazon, among many other places. Amazon also sells it for the Kindle. (If you would like to play through the games digitally while reading on Kindle, Nick Visel has compiled this LiChess study.) In Europe, you can order from New in Chess among other sites. You can also purchase the book for the New in Chess reader (also available on the Forward Chess app). You can see a free preview of the book here.
Audiobook: The audiobook is slightly delayed and we are shooting for January release on Amazon/Audible. My apologies for the delay. (The book is primarily prose, so I hope it will be worth the wait for audiobook enthusiasts.).
Signed books (US only):
Thanks to all who have ordered signed books! As I write this in December 2024, I still have a handful of books available. Signed messages can be personalized/inscribed to your liking, or if you prefer I can simply sign my name. The cost to order a signed book is $40, including shipping. Unfortunately, due to shipping costs, I can only ship within the United States.
1) The easiest way to order a signed copy with a major credit card is via this page.
2) If you prefer to pay via Venmo/Paypal you can email me with the subject line Book for further instructions
Events: I really enjoyed getting to know listeners at the Marshall Chess Club, and the Moorestown Public Library in New Jersey. Watch this space for announcements of additional book signings, and please email me if you are interested in setting one up.
