Since I started my chess podcast, my life has changed immeasurably. I no longer fly commercial, and I now accept applications for my entourage on a rolling basis. 😉 Just kidding, but I have been featured in the chess media a couple of times.
In July of 2021, I appeared on the new Chess Journeys Podcast discussing my own efforts to improve at chess.
In December 2020, I was honored to appear on Cover Stories with Chess Life. This probably has the most comprehensive history of Perpetual Chess that is currently available.
In October, 2018, Chess-site.com did a nice feature on me. Check it out here.
In December of 2017, Macauley Peterson, of Chessbase.com wrote a nice article commemorating one year of Perpetual Chess. Read it here.
In July 2017, I wrote a column for Chess Life magazine, in which I shamelessly promoted the podcast and was forced to show a snippet of one of my games. Check it out here.
The Full English Breakfast Chess Podcast is a must-listen for any chess fan, so I was happy to do a hit in one of their recent episodes talking about Perpetual Chess and about my time as a professional poker player. You should listen to the whole thing, but if you must know I come in around the 20 minute mark.
Both chess24 and chess.com have done nice write-ups summarizing the brief history of chess podcasts and have given shouts out to Perpetual Chess. .
In July 2017, The Pessimists Archive podcast examined the history of entities attempting to ban chess. They did a great job, and I did a bit of the reading aloud for it. Check it out here.
In June of 2019, I did a long two part written interview with Vjekoslav Nemec of Chesssentials.com. It goes into my whole life story, covering some childhood chess, college, poker, trading stocks, and the birth of Perpetual Chess. Check it out: Part 1 and Part 2.
In January of 2020, I was a guest on my friend, WGM Jenn Shahade’s poker podcast, The Grid. It was fun to reminisce about a key moment from my years as a poker pro with Jenn. Listen to it here.
